Before joining TH TAX, Robert worked for five years at the tax department of PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he focused on international taxation, tax and financial structuring, advice on M&A transactions, transfer pricing, and comprehensive assistance with PE and family office matters. He provided these services to foreign private equity investors (such as F.I.M. Robert also was member of a team focusing on real property, and in this capacity contributed with tax services to some of the most prominent Czech real estate deals, such as (tenement companies) RPG Byty a Služby, The Park, the company seat of T-mobile, 'Burzovní Palác' (the building which houses the Prague Stock Exchange), The CUBE, or Havlíčkova Plazza.
Robert was also involved in preparing the corporate income tax returns for Czech companies in private ownership and for the Czech branches of major global corporations, and was the member of a working group which focused on advice related to the tax deductibility of R&D expenses.
Robert also contributed to analyses of the taxation of the betting industry, and was actively involved in talks with government officials regarding the methodology for (and the amount of) taxation of the betting industry in the Czech Republic.
As a part of his work for PwC, Robert prepared analyses of the Czech tax environment that found their way into the World Bank's annual "Doing Business" publication.
